Lineage
Open Floor Movement Workshop
Nov 3 - 5, 2023
Asheville, NC
|
We all carry the remnants of our lineage in our bodies: the stories, the joy, the heartache, the accomplishments, the desires, the tenderness, and so much more. Those who came before us have contributed in one way or another to who we are today. So here we stand at a crucial crossroads between the past and the future, a place where we can make a powerful choice to take what has served us and transform what has not. |
Join us as we gather together at the forefront of our own history, turning toward and embodying our ancestry ~ moving it, breathing it, and giving it life. Through the Open Floor Movement Practice, somatic practices and mindful inquiry, we will awaken the wisdom that which lives within us, awakening the wisdom that has been there all along.
It is incredibly powerful to take the time to turn toward and move whatever has come before us. We can either choose to be a victim to what has come before and let it keep us from moving forward, or we can take ownership, dance it and transform it so that we can live with more agency, aliveness and compassion. By turning our hearts toward the past and moving it, rather than getting caught in the stories about it, we are better able to integrate it all and release what hasn't served us all these years. By doing this, we can step more fully into our own power and serve the next generation well.
The question is...are you willing to stand in all that you are and reclaim your lost power? Whatever the answer is...come join us. Together we find the courage to stand in who we truly are. It takes a village.
We will be doing this workshop close to the Day of the Dead, a time when the veils between the worlds are thin. It's an incredibly potent time for transformation.
Stacey is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner so she will be holding a safe and trauma-informed space for everyone.
All levels of experience welcome. Ages 18 and up.
If you've never done any conscious dance before, I would recommend attending my Inquiry in Motion Series before doing the workshop.
This workshop counts as 13 hours of prerequisites for the Open Floor Teacher Training.

"Stacey's Lineage workshop is one of its kind! She guided us through a carefully crafted experience that empowered me to go deep into my roots and helped me gain a new sense of identity. I felt powerful compassion and understanding for family members who otherwise seemed to be locked into a static persona, especially the ones I never met and had only heard about. Since the Lineage Workshop I've felt a sense of purpose developing in my life that is fresh and powerful while work in progress. I highly recommend this workshop for anybody who is curious and open to exploring the space in between and back in time. Thank you Stacey!"
