 Stacey will be leading the
Open Floor Community Dance in Sausalito, CA
Sunday, July 16
10:30 am - 12:30 pm

Open Floor's world-infamous weekend sessions in San Rafael and Sausalito have been cooking for over 20 years.  For hundreds of people it's become their movement church, their morning prayer, their guaranteed weekly dose of profound fun and deep connection.

These Open Floors have minimal instruction (attending Open Floor Classes and Workshops is a helpful orientation to our practice) --  but there are no steps to learn and no way to do it wrong. All you need is a body, breath, and the willingness to move and be moved.

Newcomers are always welcome.

Stacey now lives in Asheville, NC, so this is a special treat!

Dance Floor Guidelines

Talk with your body not your voice.

Tech time out.
Leave phones off the dance floor or at the front desk if you are expecting an urgent call.

For the safety and comfort of everyone in the room, please, no lifting or swinging others.

Respect one another.
Thanks for helping us maintain a scent free space.
Smoke, essential oils, perfumes, shampoos & lotions can be noxious.

Take care of yourself.
Go at your own pace.
Chairs are available if you need them.

Staff is on hand to support at all times.

The dance floor is a place for learning.
All music has something to offer us.
Notice the comings and goings of your preferences and see what there is to learn.

We are a different person every time we step on the dance floor, sometimes from one song to the next.
Take responsibility for communicating your own boundaries,
as well as being sensitive to the non-verbal cues of others.

We consider movement to be a meditation.
Feelings and thoughts naturally arise when we dance.
We believe in moving and including them all.
