What women are saying about Stacey's workshops & classes for women...
"I have just finished Stacey's 6 week Women in Motion Series and I really recommend it. I was looking for somewhere to dance where I could feel safe and drop some of my self-consciousness without a couple of drinks, and I found so much more than that. It was definitely fun, and liberating, and great exercise, but I wasn't expecting to experience so much mindfulness and clarity, particularly around emotions and my relationship to others and to life in general. Stacey has a warm and gentle style and seems to know how to provide just the right amount of structure so that I felt free to let go. It was also challenging at times, and that was helpful too. I always left the class feeling more energized and positive."
"Thank you, thank you! What a beautiful class and group of women you gathered (no wonders there..) These series have been so healing to me in my life, and I’m planning on continuing to dance with you! "
"Stacey's Women in Motion class nurtures and soothes the soul. This wonderful commitment to dancing each week brings meaning and joy to my dance practice. I love dancing with so many amazing women and feel relaxed and free in their company. Stacey's lovely guidance and leadership cultivates deep feelings and transformation within. The class has been a reflective time for me and it has provided countless opportunities for expression and release. It is a creative body experience! I love and appreciate this class series, the teachings and the community. I have taken two series and will continue the next series with Stacey in the fall."

"What I loved about women in motion was the sense of freedom. No judgement or expectations was the feeling I had as were guided through the course. We learnt to lead with our hearts and support our community and express it through dance. My body moved in new ways opening me up in area's that hadn't been. Dancing barefoot in comfortable clothing what more could one ask for"
"I've done a few workshops with Stacey and can't say enough about what a supportive container she creates, and how amazing all of the women are who show up."

"Women in Motion has been a transformative experience for me on many levels. It has reminded and reconnected me to my creative expression. Though I am not a dancer, the regular practice and community that Stacey has cultivated, has had a direct, positive impact on my other creative endeavors, both personally and professionally. Stacey is an intuitive and insightful master in creating a space for play and growth through moving and connecting to our bodies and spirits, individually and as a group. The committed series is particularly powerful as connection is cultivated by returning each week to a circle of women to move and learn together. It is an opportunity to make new connections with others and with myself. I appreciate the space to move alone, or move and connect with others. The whole spectrum of engagement is available and invited by Stacey. I will continue to join Stacey's circles as a commitment to my own soul's evolution."

"Stacey is incredibly gifted at holding a safe, comfortable and loving space for her students. Her classes are a blast and the sense of community is visible on the dance floor. The balance of movement and stillness in the practice that she leads really make the experience of dancing a contrast that brings about both inward inquiry and opening toward that which lies beyond the individual. "I loved being part of Stacey's women's series. I could truly let everything go... no worries about what the men in the room were thinking of me.... no worries about the shape or size of my body... just a room full of women accepting each other as we are. Yay!"

'"After completing one Women in Motion series, I immediately committed to the next. It is such a treat to dance with sisters in the supportive, loving, and conscious way that Stacey facilitates. And she knows just when to encourage us to explore our edges- something for which I am truly grateful!"

"When was the last time you danced? I mean really danced. Uninhibited and care free. I danced like I've never danced before at a women's new year movement ritual, led by Stacey Butcher. I was invited by a friend and I really didn't know what to expect, although I knew I was about to embark on an interesting new experience. The timing was perfect, I'm always excited to try new things, especially with the start of a new year. We were asked to wear white clothing, which represented our clean white canvas which lies ahead of us in the new year. As we dance we step out of the old and into the new, setting intention through our movement. I arrived at the studio, the setting was beautiful, a wooden dance floor with lit candles all around the perimeter. I had the pleasure of meeting a few of the ladies while waiting to check in, they were experienced dancers or Rhythms practitioners. The women looked like angels in their white as they stretched and glided across the floor. I could sense their confidence, passion and love for dance. I felt welcomed but I anticipated the unknown of what was behind the curtain...." Click here to read the entire blog post

"I've recently completed a second round of Stacey's 5 Rhythms all women committed series and it has been one of the greatest gifts I've given to myself. As someone with no formal dance training and who 18 months ago was not even comfortable dancing for fun, this practice has completely changed my perception of myself and the way I present myself to others. Stacey is very down to earth and is truly passionate about not only movement practice, but she is committed to women and providing a space where women can come together and dance together. While I love dancing with men, there is something very special when it is just women. It is hard to define, but it is undeniable. It is safe, supportive, inspiring & powerful. I am able to let me guard down and try things on in this environment that I am not able to do in other ones. Each week I leave feeling like I was able to not only able to receive from the other women in the group, but I feel like I contribute as well and that give and take creates a wonderful bond that stays with me throughout the week. If you've been dancing for years, come try this class. If you've never danced before, come try this class. Women need women and this class reminds me of that every week. It reminds me of the power that women possess and has encouraged me to really strengthen the female bonds I have off the dance floor as well. Thank you Stacey for creating this space, playing kick ass music and giving your entire heart to us week after week. "

"The day of "UnMasked" was a beautiful opportunity to dance with lovely women and let go of the outside world and just be present with my body. Our teacher Stacey, provided a safe haven to walk into to allow the transformation to happen and to let me be vulnerable and nurtured. I walked away from this workshop feeling lighter and feeling inspired. The pain in my right hip went away, amazing!!!! Thank YOU!!"
